The Casablanca Stock Exchange opens higher

The Casablanca Stock Exchange opened higher on Wednesday, with its main index, the "MASI," rising 3.13% to settle at 16,913.33 points.
The "MASI.20" index, which tracks the performance of 20 companies listed on the exchange, rose 3.87% to 1,286.44 points, while the MASI.ESG, the index of companies with the highest ratings, rose by 3.85% to 1,159.33 points.
For its part, the "MASI Mid and Small Cap," the price performance index for small and medium-sized companies listed on the stock exchange, rose by 0.51% to 1,700.01 points.
At the individual stock level, the strongest gains were recorded by:
+ "Cosumar" (+9.58% / 183 dirhams),
+ and "LafargeHolcim Morocco" (+9% / 1,635 dirhams),
+ "Sodep Marsa Morocco" (+8.1% / 759 dirhams),
+ "Alliance" (+7.54% / 426 dirhams),
+ and "Al-Doha" (+7.46% / 27.94 dirhams).
Conversely, the sharpest declines were recorded by:
- "Desway" (-9.18% / 790 dirhams),
- "Vini Prosset" (-8.77% / 255 dirhams),
- S2M (-5.98% / 503 dirhams),
- "Stockfish North Africa" (-5.66% / 60 dirhams),
- and "Microdata" (-3.8% / 760 dirhams).
The "Masi" index closed trading yesterday, Tuesday, down 5.63%.
