The 17 Consulates General of the Kingdom of Morocco in France are organizing open days on March 7 and 14 for members of the Moroccan community residing in the country, to enable them to collect their consular documents without the need for a prior appointment. This initiative, organized under the supervision of the Moroccan Embassy in Paris, is part of an effort to mobilize the Moroccan consular network in France to facilitate access to consular services and bring the administration closer to citizens. It also comes within the context of the commitment of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Abroad to implement on the ground the high regard that His Majesty King Mohammed VI has consistently shown toward Moroccans around the world, through the continuous improvement of local services and the strengthening of consular support. On this occasion, all consulates will mobilize to ensure the smooth running of this process and to provide the necessary conditions for the citizens concerned to collect their documents. This initiative reflects an ongoing commitment to improving the quality of consular services and meeting the expectations of members of the Moroccan community. In a statement to the Moroccan News Agency, the Kingdom’s Consul General in Colombia, Nadia Thalmi, confirmed that this initiative—the second to be organized during the holy month of Ramadan—aims to address the needs of members of the Moroccan community and meet their expectations regarding accessible consular services. She explained that it provides an opportunity for those who are unable to travel during the Consulate General’s regular working days and hours to come in on the weekend to collect their passports, national electronic ID cards, notarial deeds, or any other certificates. She added that these days, organized as part of the high regard His Majesty the King extends to Moroccans around the world, also provide an opportunity to make an information desk available to visitors, focusing particularly on civil status and notarization services, as well as assisting them and facilitating the appointment booking process via the online platform. For his part, the Kingdom’s Consul General in Lille, Abdelkader Abidine, emphasized that these initiatives, which fall within the framework of His Majesty’s royal instructions and directives, King Mohammed VI, to provide the necessary assistance and support to Moroccan citizens residing abroad, are not limited to simplifying consular procedures, but also allow them to benefit from advice, information, and guidance from consulate staff, particularly regarding legal and documentation matters.
