MP and five others killed in helicopter crash in western Kenya

Six people, including a member of parliament, were killed when a helicopter crashed in western Kenya on Saturday, police and government officials said.
The helicopter crashed in Nandi County in the North Rift region, while the causes of the accident were not immediately known. County Police Commander Samuel Mokusy told Kenya's Citizen TV that the victims were the MP, the pilot, and four other people who were on board.
For his part, President William Ruto announced that the parliamentary victim was Johanna Ng'eno, MP for Emorwa Diker, in a message posted on the "X" platform.Ruto wrote that his thoughts and prayers go out to the MP's family and friends, the residents of Emorwa Diker, and all the victims and families affected by the helicopter crash in the Musop area of Nandi County.
The identities of the other passengers who died in the accident have not yet been disclosed.
